HiRail Material Handler Trucks

magnet and grapple capability.

A Wabco A-9 valve and air
brake system combined with a
standard coupler knuckle
enable these units to provide a
fast safe means of direct
loading or unloading of
railway cars. These units are
capable of moving several
loaded cars at a time and are

Motive Power Units available
today.

Changeout Rail Pickup Rail Cutting Power

A Cando rail cutting crew works
ahead of the rail pickup crew
when continuous welded rail
(CWR) is being retrieved.

The cutting crew utilizes a
modern 4x4 Hirail Pickup Truck
outfitted with 2 cutting torches
and pressurized fire fighting
equipment.

One unique safety feature of
these units is the pressurized
waterline and nozzle attached
directly to the cutting torches.
This feature enables the
operators to quickly and safely
extinguish any small fire at the
source before it has a chance to
spread.

A Cando cutting crew can
measure and cut up to 18,000
feet of rail per day.
